The Media RING has committed to working better together to create pathways for Indigenous people to enter the media industry and grow successful and sustainable careers within it.
You are invited to a bespoke Member Connect Event designed from your feedback to focus on employment and best practice solutions. The event on 2 March 2018 features powerful insights and ways you can make a difference no matter what size your organisation or team.
The event will engage and inspire you with presentations from Industry leaders including Richard Frankland (Wilin Centre), Phillipa McDermott (ABC), Jake Thomson (AIME), Jess Barton (Google) and Stig Bell (SBS).
The event provides opportunity to explore the following themes;
- Developing an Indigenous Employment Strategy
- Ensuring Workplaces are Culturally Competent
- Building the Talent Pipeline Early, a case study on how Google supported AIME to encourage Indigenous kids to consider STEM
- Attracting Talent and Building Inclusive Workplaces
Networking and sharing ideas are a critical component in how we get our MediaRING work done and we invite you to stay on after the formalities for refreshments and entertainment in the SBS Les Murray Courtyard where you will connect with our industry partners and explore new opportunities.
Media RING would like to thank the Wilin Centre, ABC, AIME, SBS and Foxtel for supporting this important industry event. We would also like to thank NITV and SBS Corporate Affairs for sponsoring the event.
