SBS Radio today announced the appointment of Danny Teece-Johnson as Digital Executive Producer for its dedicated service for Indigenous news and culture – NITV Radio.
In his new role, Danny will deliver multi-platform content for audiences including podcasting, video stories and radio programs.
A Gomeroi man from Moree NSW, Danny was previously the Output Producer for NITV’s News and Current Affairs program, and was the NITV Northern Territory Correspondent for five years. Danny has also produced content for ABC, SBS, BBC Four and the Foxtel Network.
Danny Teece-Johnson, Digital Executive Producer, NITV Radio, said: “I am extremely excited about my new role at NITV Radio and see it as a great opportunity to connect even more with my community. I’ll be producing a range of podcasts, engaging with audiences via social platforms and keeping the community up-to-date with the latest news and can’t wait to get started.”
SBS Director for Audio and Language Content, Mandi Wicks said: “We’re really pleased to have Danny on board and his role will be pivotal to NITV Radio, a service we are incredibly proud of. With Danny’s expertise and his valuable contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander broadcasting in Australia; NITV Radio will provide increased content online and via the SBS Radio app.”
An increased collaboration between NITV and NITV Radio will enable audiences to engage with all the relevant Indigenous content under the one banner as NITV – on TV, Radio, Online and on Social platforms.
NITV Radio broadcasts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 pm.
